How decisions get made

Five operating principles.

The roadmap is shaped by these — not by a feature backlog, and not by feature requests from people who've never run a firm.

  1. 01

    Constraint over freedom

Where most tools would let you add a fiftieth P1, Ventura blocks the insert. The Top-2 rule for daily priorities is the product, not a preference.

  2. 02

    Polled inputs over manual entry

Users shouldn't type tasks all day. Tasks should appear because they exist in an email, a calendar event, a meeting note, or a system call — and disappear when they're done.

  3. 03

    One number per day

The metric is whether the two priorities you committed to actually got done. Everything else is supporting data.

  4. 04

    Audit by default

Every cron run, every email action, every state change has an audit row. No silent mutations. No magic that can't be inspected.

  5. 05

AI fills slots, doesn't take seats

Scoring, summarization, and drafting are AI-shaped. Selection, approval, and execution are partner-shaped. We never auto-create work.

The honest version

What Ventura is not going to be.

Roadmaps drift when the things you said no to become quietly negotiable. We'd rather say them out loud.

A generic AI chat surface. No free-form chat UI on top of your firm. AI lives inside structured steps with declared inputs and output schemas, not as a wandering assistant.

A second Asana or Linear. Project-tracker breadth is the wrong target. Ventura's edge is the protected Top-2 and the connected work surfaces — not feature parity with task tools.

An inbox. Ventura reads Gmail and Outlook; it does not present them. Email triage stays in the user's existing client.

A reporting product. The CFO Platform does that for the firms it serves. Ventura is the operator's tool, not the firm's delivery system.

Help shape it

Early access firms have direct influence on what ships next.
