Integrations

Ventura connects to the tools a firm already runs on. Each integration is opt-in, connected from Settings, and scoped to your firm.

What connects

IntegrationWhat it powers
XeroFinancial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, budgets), A/R + A/P aging, client revenue, and draft-invoice push from billing packets and engagements.
GoogleCalendar events and email metadata for meeting and touch auto-capture.
MicrosoftOutlook calendar and email metadata for the same capture, multi-tenant.
Make.comPlanned — automation hooks for downstream workflows.

Xero

Connect from Settings. Once linked, the Firm cockpit pulls your P&L, balance sheet, budgets, and aging, and you can push draft invoices to Xero from a fixed-fee engagement, a T&M/installment, or a time billing packet. Set a default account code and tax type in Settings so pushes resolve cleanly.

What syncs: financial statements, budgets, invoices and their status, contacts (looked up or created on push). What doesn't: Ventura never finalizes or sends invoices for you — pushes land as drafts for a person to review and send in Xero.

Google & Microsoft

Connect a mailbox/calendar to auto-capture meetings and touches against the relationships and clients you track. Capture uses message metadata (who, when, subject), gated per account so personal mail stays out. See Security & data for how that boundary works.

Permissions

All three connect through OAuth — you grant access during connect and can revoke it from the provider at any time. Ventura requests the narrowest scopes a feature needs and stores tokens per firm.

Troubleshooting

  • A sync looks stale. Re-run it from Settings or the relevant Firm view; check the connection still shows as active.
  • A Xero push failed. Confirm Xero is connected and a default account code is set; the error message names what's missing.
  • Captures stopped. The OAuth grant may have been revoked or expired — reconnect the account in Settings.
Disconnecting an integration stops future syncs; data already in Ventura stays. Reconnecting resumes capture from that point forward.
